-MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS-

Rosa Smith
Principal Instructor

Licence 8213

Rosa is the principal instructor and proprietor of Local Motorcycle School.
She has been riding for over 13 years and has more than 10 years of instructor experience in the industry.
She trained with a former Perth-based school, where training methods have been developed since 1992 with input from WA Police and the Department of Transport.
She has worked across both northern and southern areas and is well known and respected by assessors and other instructors she has worked alongside.
Most of her clients come through word of mouth—something she’s incredibly proud of.
Rosa is patient, clear with her instructions and adaptable to all students’ needs (including deaf students)
Outside of riding, she volunteers at the Perth Observatory as an amateur astronomer, enjoys windsurfing, and is becoming a SheSail representative. She is also in the process of publishing her book.
Her bigger goal?
Helping people break and create habits that allow them to live life to the fullest through her vision of positiv-ology.

He started riding motorbikes at 13 years old off-road, but truly fell in love with riding when he experienced road bikes. Since then, he has built nearly 25 years of road and track riding experience.
Dave is passionate about both riding and instructing. His patience, experience, and approachable nature make him a natural teacher.
Even early in his instructor career, students are already benefiting from his guidance and support.
